IDC Instructor Development Course Acapulco - Mexico

You can become a PADI Scuba Instructor with our PADI IDC in Acapulco, in the tropical pacific of Mexico. The PADI Instructor Development Course has two sections. The first component is the AI (Assistant Instructor) program. The 2nd component is the OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor) program. The IDC will develop your abilities to instruct in dive academics, and in the confined water and open water environments. As a PADI Instructor candidate you'll also learn about the dive industry, advanced diving skills, teaching children, and other knowledge important to working as a dive professional. During our course at Swiss Divers we also have additional practical training workshops during the IDC, which improve your diver counseling skills in equipment, travel and continuing education programs.

Our IDC program is 3 days longer for a more complete schedule of 10 training days (or 8 days for candidates that complete the eLearning IDC preparation). We begin with an 'IDC Prep' a few days before the scheduled 10 days for candidates who arrive early, and want to refresh their DM theory and skills.
This allows us to make your course much more relaxed and gives us more time to focus on individually counseling and assisting with your development. This equates to greater success at the exams and once you are an instructor teaching your own students. The IDC is scheduled to end just before the PADI Instructor Exams start allowing your skills, knowledge and practical training to be fresh and also translates to your success. THE IDC (8 DAY OPTION)
For candidates who are traveling to Acapulco and already certified as PADI Divemaster there are additional options that allow you to prepare by:

Studying and self testing your dive theory online by PADI e-Learning
Participate in 9 of the IDC course presentations through online eLearning that save you 2 days here in Acapulco

With the eIDC option you'll start 2 days later than our 'Live delivery' IDC. There is an additional fee, payable directly to PADI for each of these two options. Please contact us for registration information on these options.

The PADI IDC is held at Swiss Divers on the beautiful bay of Acapulco. The spacious, classroom with fully stocked reference library and wireless Internet access make your scuba Instructor course comfortable and productive. Our presentations are on a widescreen TV with all the latest digital media from PADI.
